These raw boulder opal matrix are a variety of opal only found in Queensland, Australia.
They are called opal matrix because the opal is mixed with the host rock.
They have been sawed and/or roughly preformed to show their colours and reduce their weight.
Their colours will come out better when wet or after having been polished.
